Design Improvement History

Morrow Audio is always striving for ways to improve the sound of our products. There have been several improvements and upgrades made to our products over the years. Please find the list below...

2018: Changed from silver coated copper wire runs to pure copper runs, changed the dielectric to cotton, provided smaller gauges for the individual SSI wire strands and greatly increased the individual wire runs. These changes brought profound improvements in all areas while also removing a phase distortion from the silver coated copper.

2020: Increased the individual SSI wire runs in our speaker cable lines. This provided more realism, soundstage and musical involvement.

2025: The SP1 through SP7 speaker cable models went from 8 bundles to 4 bundles of SSI wire per channel with most models having increased individual SSI wire runs in each of the 4 bundles. This reduced dielectric distortions and reflection. Smaller SSI wire gauges likewise happened for all speaker cable models except for the Elite and Anniversary. This reduced skin effect distortions, providing a jump in musicality and realism.

The Elite speaker cables have 6 bundles per channel, the Anniversary speaker cables have 8 bundles per channel and the new Signature speaker cables have 12 bundles per channel.

Note: If you compare the 2020 speaker cable version to the 2025 speaker cable version, they may feel different due to the changes of the cable structure inside the cables going from 8 bundles to 4 bundles for models SP1 through SP7. Wire counts remain the same or have increased, but all within the 4 bundles instead of 8 bundles.
