"Real" sounding, brilliantly done!...
"I have been around "high end" audio since the late 60's and have owned a lot of much ballyhooed products - from Beveridge speakers and Transcendent Sound T-8 amps (not nearly enough accolades given to these products - two of the best audio experiences to grace my life) to Levinson (Ok but did not match the early hype - then again, I really don't like SS stuff to begin with) also ARC, top of the line Counterpoint, Audio Note, Von Schweikert speakers (several models), Nordost, Kimber, Mogami etc etc - all Ok but, with the exception of the Beveridges and TS stuff, nothing representing an earth shattering breakthrough experience (although I should add my First Sound Deluxe II pre-amp to the Bev and TS class).
Then your MA2 and SP2 cables come along. How to put it accurately?? - Fact: Your cables have made my existing system more transparent, dynamic, "present" holographic like, "faster", cleaner, increased soundstage width depth and height, frequency extended - just plain more "real" sounding (don't know what that means objectively but I know it when I hear it). Never imagined that my existing system was THAT good - Brilliantly done!" Roy Toulan
Better than Anti Cables...
"Mike, I have the SP2 cables and am delighted that they worked out very well in my system. I have always expected silver plated cables to give a bright sound, thin tonal balance and weak bass. My previous cables is the Anticables (all copper, solid core wire), I am also using a flea powered amp (2 watter). I am always hesitant to use multi strand cables, those that I had in the past tended to slow down and muffle the sound; perhaps due to a lack of drive from my amplifier."
We recommend starting with the source components, working your way to the speakers. After that, start upgrading the power cords. As a detailed example, start first by replacing a source cable, like from a CD player to preamplifier. Next replace the cables from the preamp to power amp. Idealy, if finaces allow, replace these two together to have our cables in your system from source to power amplifier. Next, replace the speaker cables, then start upgrading the power cords, starting again with the source components. Replacing your cables in this order will realize the greatest sonic improvements and enjoyment as you complete each step.
Designing and building cables is a tricky business, requiring just the right balance of gauge, wire type and dielectric. It would be foolish to test our designs on a mediocre system. At Morrow Audio, we have only the best in our listening/ testing room, insuring that whatever system our cables go into, that they should provide great satisfaction and musicality! You can see our listening room here.

Do not despair, you now qualify for a dramatic improvement in all areas of sound with the Morrow Audio line of cables.

The SP2 consist of multiple runs of solid core, small gauge, silver coated copper wire which is then silver soldered to the termination of choice. There are two different gauges of wire used in the SP2, allowing a greater continuity of low and high frequencies. This wire has been chosen for the excellent balance of sound that it provides. The SP2 has an attractive appearance and possess excellent RFI and noise rejection. The cable is very flexible and easily managed.
The basic differences between models are the number of wires within the cable structure. As you move up the line, the greater number of wires allow a likewise greater amount of subtleties and details to come through. The soundstage and separation of instruments within that stage also increase. Runs of wire within the cable structure
The SP2 through SP7 speaker cables contain two different gauges of wire to better carry the high and low frequencies. The SP5 through SP7 also include our optional free break-in service. The reference and grand reference series require a tremendous amount of labor to build. Despite this we have continued to keep the cost down as far as possible, offering great value as well as an unforgettable musical experience. |

Cables are offered in standard and bi-wired versions. Cables are the same price up to 2 meters. Other lengths are selectable in the shopping cart.
For the standard as well as the biwired version, the legs of the cable are split 6 inches down from the main body to allow ease of connection to amplifier and speakers. Longer end separations, if desired, can be requested in the special notes area of the shopping cart.
The bi-wired version consist of a single pair of terminations on the amplifier end and two pairs of color coded terminations at the speaker end for the highs and lows. Hookup instructions are provided.
Termination options are Spade and Banana. Combination terminations are also available and are selected in the shopping cart. Banana is the recommended choice for the best sound, then spade. Nude termination is not offered on the SP2 due to the delicacy of the wires.
Terminations offered, including our "Nude" termination.
Opening across the inside of the spade is 5/16 of an inch.
